Hollen Knoell (K '25, Psychology, Classics)
Hollen (she/her) is a senior in Dr. Andrew Engell's lab. She is a double major in psychology and ancient Greek and a minor in mathematics. She has been in the lab since her sophomore year and is interested in examining the intersection between chronic stress and cognitive functions using EEG. Specifically, she is investigating the relationship between facial memory and trait anxiety and how theta oscillations may mediate this association. After graduation, Hollen plans to pursue a PhD in psychology or neuroscience. Outside of the lab, Hollen sound designs and stage manages theater productions on campus.
Orelle Mangiani (K '26, Psychology)
Yana is a sophomore Neuroscience and Psychology double major. She is interested in looking at how neuronal interactions give rise to complex cognitive processes in the brain. She plans to get a PhD in neuropsychology. Outside of classes, Yana is a Gund Gallery associate and a cheer team member.
